Holocaust Artwork

Hey! This is my 'history' homework, we had to do some kind of personal reflection on the learning we did about the holocaust. Obviously the holocaust is a pretty dark time for the Nazi's and it's not the nicest part of history but it's kind of important that you do learn about it in school. My piece isn't really graphic or anything but this is kind of what comes to mind for me. Or at least what is easy enough to paint. 

I did it on a canvas board, mainly because it was half the price for a bigger canvas board than an actual canvas. I sketched my design before actually drawing it on the canvas then I used acrylic paints to paint it. I'm okay with the final outcome, it could be better but I wanted to paint something that actually said 'holocaust' to me rather than just painting a jew or someone that was in a concentration camp because for me that is just a person, it doesn't illustrate the holocaust. Well that's just my opinion.

I also have some sketches of my hamster for my art homework which I might post as well but I will do some more drawings today so yay!
